Safe States is excited to launch a new webinar series to provide space for deeper exploration of the recently released “” resource, a tool designed to help injury and violence prevention (IVP) organizations integrate health equity across the core components of a model IVP program. Developed for IVP professionals, funders, advocates, and diverse partners, this resource can be used to enhance and strengthen health equity leadership, partnerships, programs, and more.

This six-part webinar series will provide a space for deeper exploration of the “Building Equity into Safer States” resource, share real-life examples, and discuss the standards and indicators for a model IVP program.

Join health equity officers from the CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC) to learn how NCIPC is incorporating health equity into their organizational structure. The GDEIB is a free resource for organizations worldwide that provides a strategic planning tool, a set of actions, and measures for progress toward diversity, equity, and inclusion. Organized into 15 categories across 4 groups, these benchmarks can apply to all sectors, sizes, and types of organizations. As referenced in “Building Equity Into Safer States,” the GDEIB can be used to build and sustain a solid, equitable, and stable infrastructure by providing actionable steps that IVP organizations can take to ensure equity is embedded in its goals, core values, leadership, and accountability.
