Overview:

This Student Showcase features two presentations from Safe States’ student members: Julia Burstein and Kristi Ladowski.

Julia Burstein is a first-year MPH student at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. She will be presenting on a project that utilizes GIS technology to study the relationship between income and physically accessible subway stations in New York City.

Kristi Ladowski is a Doctoral Student at CUNY School of Public Health and Injury Prevention & Outreach Coordinator at Stony Brook Trauma Center. Her presentation will be on evaluating their organization’s virtual tai chi program’s reach, effectiveness, and participant satisfaction as it’s offered in a virtual and hybrid setting indefinitely. She’ll also share lessons learned and preliminary findings from the evaluation.
