Effective Presentations: A Toolkit for Engaging an Audience

This toolkit is to help you put together effective presentations, whether it’s in-person or online. Intermediate- or advanced-level presenters may choose not to read the full text, but to use the sidebars as reminders while putting together materials. The toolkit contains four pieces:

I. What Do I Need To Know?
Questions and answers for presenters. This short document has three primary sections: choosing
material, effective speaking, and PowerPoint slides. (Included in this PDF)
II. Presentation Slides: The Before and After
III. References
IV. Built for You: PowerPoint toolkit. A PowerPoint file with commonly needed components and creative visuals that you can cut and paste into your presentations and modify for your needs. (A separate PPT file)
